Hi Hewie,
Your expertise and experience are impressive. One of my brothers is Dean in the College of Agriculture at Caraga State University there in Butuan. He is an agriculturist and from what you have described, seem to have a lot common with you, agriculturally speaking. Your experience and expertise most likely will be a great asset for the University, possibly in exchange for and in addition to what information you are hoping to obtain from the Expats there. He is not an expat, he is native to Butuan, but very honorable and knowledgeable and might be able to help connect you with resources or people you need to know or want to know, locally. Please let me know if you are interested and I'll try to clear it with the webmaster here if that is ok/allowed to do here. Judging from the copy of e-mail he sent, it seemed like he has met Greg, though I'm not sure if Greg remembers him or not. His name is Danilo Ga-as. Good luck.
